Der Fluch / Godfathers of German Gothic / Horror Punk / B-Movie Music| Germany
When Deutscher W started a band from the realm of the dead in the winter of 1981 to express the dark side of his soul and his penchant for B-movies, no one could have guessed that DER FLUCH, with its minimalistic, discordant chords and evil lyrics, was to become an icon of the German Gothic scene.
DER FLUCH managed to establish its very own style with its B-Movie music and thus became a pioneer of the German gothic scene and horror punk long before these terms even existed. And whenever the godfathers of German Gothic haunt the children of the night, all their crypt classics such as „Hexen leben länger“, „Rattengift“, "Princes of the Night" or the eternally young werewolf „Halb Mensch halb Tier“ also sound Works from the more recent creative period, such as her scene hits „Ich bin der Fluch“ or „Das Grauen geht um heut Nacht“.
The cursed have fresh blood through Chris van Helsing, longtime guitarist with Phillip Boa and the Voodoo Club, and Dr. Caligari, co-founder and drummer of The Other. Eziueger stand at midnight... let the affliction begin
